Mr. Chrisanthus Gimhan Dabarera, Secretary and National Coordinator of the NGAP - Sri Lanka Programme also participated in the ICAO - NGAP Task Force held at ICAO Headquarters, Montreal, Canada ( In year 2019)

Mr. Chrisanthus Gimhan Dabarera, Secretary and National Coordinator of the NGAP - Sri Lanka Programme also participated in the ICAO - NGAP Task Force held at ICAO Headquarters this year and presented information on the way that the NGAP Extension Pilot Programme was held and the benefits of implementing the programme in other countries.

The ICAO-NGAP Task Force appreciated the success of the NGAP Extension Pilot Programme and recommended launching the programme in other countries as well. Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) decided to publish a comprehensive manual covering all the details of the pilot programme and to distribute the same.

Sri Lanka was greatly honoured and glorified through this Pilot Programme introduced by Mr. Chrisanthus Gimhan Dabarera, the Secretary of the NGAP-Sri Lanka Programme of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka for the first time in the World composed of 193 ICAO member countries.
